I have my bed. My very comfortable bed. My first Queen Size bed. Wish no cheap pine slats that break. And it's 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The service from Sleepy Sam's has been wonderful all round, I couldn't be happier. And I did well on price as well.

It's all good basically.

Now I think I need to curl up and read on it :)

With a glass of warm milk. :)
Read a good book (on a Palm computer or on paper) snuggled up in bed, sipping warm milk, favorite music playing in the background, rain on the roof, hot water bottle at the feet.
Oooooh. Heaven.

Milk needs to be curdled in your stomach in order to be digested. Children produce an enzyme called rennin (also called chymosin) for the purpose. It used to be extracted from calf stomachs for cheesemaking. After you stop drinking milk for some time -- I'm not sure how long it takes -- your stomach ceases production of rennin. If you try drinking more than a small amount of milk when your stomach doesn't produce rennin it makes you feel queasy... a little like having too much oil in your food. A small amount is able to be curdled by the acid in your stomach I think, but without rennin most passes through to the small intestine without being digested. I never stopped drinking milk so it works fine for me.

The cats are preventing you sleeping in your new bed! It is a conspiracy. :)

Most comfortable bed I ever had was a piece of foam about 2 inches thick on the floor. It was amazing.

Yay! It is a blessing from the gods to have a comfortable new (QS) bed. I wonder how I ever slept in that other thing!

try sleeping on a double bed with a missing slat for a few weeks and then following it with a sofa bed - not that the sofa bed is bad per se (though old and coul probably do with a new mattress - later when I have more money) but not the same as a real bed...

So am eagerly awaiting trying out the new one properly :)
